Harburg’s inland port is like the kid sister of Hamburg’s HafenCity. The charm of old industrial brick buildings and counting houses blends mixes well here with the innovative architecture. On an area of 45,000 m², the CG Gruppe is erecting the Neuländer Quarree – a new complex that will combine work and life under the lens of sustainability. Restaurants, retail space, a hotel, a nursery, a multi-storey car park and 548 flats are planned alongside a technology park for sustainable energy. The concept is a net-zero energy complex that combines geothermal energy, wood-pellet-fuelled cogeneration plants and photovoltaics. The high-tech multi-storey car park will be the energy and media centre for the complex’s innovative maintenance and refuse concepts, and will provide e-carsharing services and charging stations that generate their own energy.

In southern Hamburg, Harburg and its inland port create a truly wonderful place with an attractive mix of old industrial charm and modern architecture. The property lies at the entrance to the inland port and as such is well connected to the infrastructure. The city centre, the commuter railway and intercity trains are all within walking distance. There is a bus stop directly at the property, and motorway access is just a short drive away.
